My life is filled with blessings, everyday reminders of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's work in my life, and Jaxen, Jaden, and Scarlett bring light to my day that I don't deserve. Even after a long drive home on an overcrowded I-70, I know I get to go home to my kids and my wife, and that lifts me up, because I thank Christ every day for the home He has given us. I still can't believe she picked me, for she is so far out of my league in every possible way, a living reminder of His grace that I don't deserve. I still remember the first time I saw her in that corner booth, I was floored, and she was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on, an answer to prayers that I didn't know how to pray.

I was so nervous that I just went on and on about electrical work, 30+ years worth, and finally asked her what she was into, when she said nope, I almost lost my heartbeat, but then she said nope about electrical stuff, and we laughed and continued to talk for hours until it got too late to keep going. Looking back, I can see His hand moving, setting up the start of something that neither of us could have imagined, and I didn't even try to go for a goodnight kiss, because I wanted to be a gentleman and honor the values of Christ. Still, the connection grew, and then came Scarlett, and a new kind of joy that I thank Jesus for every day, then came Jaxen, full of laughter and dimples and funny feeding antics that made our home a warmer place, and then came Jaden, whose arrival was a battle of fear and uncertainty, especially with the specter of COVID-19 looming in the background. We had to make some difficult choices and put everything into the Lord's hands to protect the mother and child, and I don't think I could live without him, because his life is a reflection of the mercy and faithfulness of God.

In my family, I see that my bank account is not the measure of my wealth, for I am the richest man alive in love, in faith, in family, and I give thanks to God, to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has seen us through, who has guided us, who has blessed us more than we ever could deserve. Every day is a reminder to live with gratitude, with humility, and with trust for the blessings He continues to give us.
